The exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the artworks produced by the specific culture of the Bambara people and their close neighbours, within an area encompassing Mali and Burkina Faso.

Its curator, Hélène Joubert, Head Curator of the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac African collection, presents a selection of objects that share both artistic quality and unprecedented scientific value. The exhibition brings together around 120 masterpieces of the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac.
