Designed by Gilles Clément, the garden is an integral part of the museum. This verdant space, sheltered from the sounds of the embankment by a high glass palisade, occupies an area of 18,000 m² and gives an impression of abundance to passers-by.

Discover the Garden
The garden exploration guide
A place of nature and culture, the garden is an invitation to travel, featuring trails, small hills, paved paths and pools ideal for meditation and reverie. The garden houses 169 trees and thirty or so plant species: oaks and maples on the north, magnolias and cherries on the south.
Thanks to the stilt structure, the garden passes underneath the museum, where it is planted with grasses. The ticket offices are also located outside. Performances, lectures and concerts are held in an open-air theater in the heart of the garden.
Alone or with the family, follow the trails and stone-paved paths, explore the clearings and search for QR codes.
Fun and interactive itinerary for exploring the secrets of the garden and discovering the fairy tales and legends of the tortoise (available in french).
