Labex CAP Immersion Grants
About the Immersion Program
The PRES héSam Laboratory of Excellence “Creation, Arts and Heritage” (Labex CAP) is pleased to announce the “Immersion” competitive grants.
The “Immersion” program is an original approach with a dual aim: on one hand, it contributes to training through the professional insertion of doctoral and/or master’s students registered in an institution of higher education that is a member of the Labex CAP. On the other hand, it provides support for research programs (research for the preparation of an exhibition, work on exhibits, collections, archives etc.) of the six partners of the Labex CAP relating to culture (BnF, musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, Centre Pompidou, Musée Arts décoratifs, Musée Arts et Métiers, Sèvres – cité de la céramique).
Students benefit from acquiring real professional experience with a heritage or museum organization; inversely, the museums and the National Library of France (BnF) explore, through research, how to set up their program and/or enhance their collections. Artists in residence working on research projects can be considered in the framework of the "Immersion" program.
