Résumé
'The fall of Tenochtitlan and Tlatelolco (also called the Twin Cities) in August 1521, represented the pinnacle of the collision between two very different civilizations: the Mesoamerican and the Mediterranean, whose impact would be felt shortly after on a world scale, hence the importance of this fact for the history of both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The book contains ten essays that investigate from a multifactorial perspective the invasion process, focusing on the actors and their time and space context. Commemorating 5 centuries of this event, the Museo del Templo Mayor (MTM) in Mexico City held from August 2021 to March 2022 a magna exhibition curated by Patricia Ledesma Bouchan, Judith Alva Sánchez and Eduardo Matos Moctezuma.'
