Description
"City of Acheen (Sumatra)".Annotation sur un papier collé sur le passe-partout : "The inhabitants (Malays) are notoriously treacherous, cruel...and the greatest thieves in the world. It was once a powerful kingdom but is now sunk in vice and indolence, and become a mere nest of Pirates. A king is stil acknowldedges, but the Chief's generally do as they please. You will perceive myself and Breay talking to one of the Chiefs".
