; [Résumé en anglais]The inter-ethnical hate in Rwanda stems from the mental representations built by the rwandese themselves. The rwandese society is founded on occult and explicit values. This mixture brings about an almost double personality to any Rwandese. With this in mind, the rwandese man becomes changeable, loses the logic transparency to the benefit of his own interests and opts for the disguise of truth or for lie. He sets up a system in which the implicit rules will generate clientelism and corruption in a hierarchized society. The arrogance and the contempt of the ones arouse the distrust of the others and the lack of tolerance and patience give way to hatred, a real brake for the social and economical development of the society and a treat of its destruction. Even the influence of the Western civilisation through education will not act on the personality part of the rwandese individual to transform his mentality and alter his jealousy as well as hateful glance on the other. On the contrary, the Western presence will increase the inter-rwandese division in classifying the ones in a more favourable social scale in order to dominate the others and by establishing an indirect administration. So, hatred increases more and more between Hutu and Tutsi who committed atrocities from 1959 to 1967 and during the war of October 1990 ; this one leads to the unnameable tragedy of April 1994 and the connected reprisals during several years.
