'Are we as a species headed toward extinction? How can humanity survive these increasingly terrifying assaults? Humanity's Last Stand dares to ask big questions, discussing three urgent contemporary issues of climate change, migration, and white supremacy. The book argues that an anthropological imagination is needed now more than ever, since contemporary issues are manifestations of global capitalism, built on Indigenous genocide and plantation slavery. The book argues for developing a 'radical empathy' and lays the groundwork for solidarity in struggle.
