Résumé
This anthological edition comprises 41 texts written by noted historian and art critic Pablo Macera. Marginality and heterogeneity were the distinctive trait of his historic research on Peruvian mestizo and popular art, 'Macera was characteristic for selecting as study objects those unusual manifestations set outside of the general interest and notices also, that such expressions were part of a variety of nucleus' Luis Eduardo Wuffarden, author of the prolog of the book comments. The present book is an important reference of Andean and Amazonia popular cultures and is beautifully illustrated with a collection of images. Contents include some of Macera's most notable research texts
