Résumé
'The Egiin Gol Survey, Mongolia's first systematic regional full-coverage archaeological survey, began as a rescue effort in the face of plans for a hydroelectric dam in the Egiin Gol valley. Adding regional survey to excavation makes the Egiin Gol a powerful case study for major research questions on Mongolia's prehistory. Continued archaeological research over the years has today made it the most comprehensively studied region in all Mongolia.
