The installation presents an intimate portrait, a look "from afar" at the musée des Confluences, inaugurated in Lyon in December 2014.
About the exhibition
Questioning the Earth from its origins and humanity in its history and geography, the musée des Confluences combines the latest research in the fields of science and techniques, archaeology and ethnology, museography and knowledge mediation. Like many facets of the institution, such as its architecture, the installation brings together an original and prolific selection of emblematic works from the museum's collections (over 2 million objects). The display cases of the Atelier Martine Aublet - like a collage multiplying the diversity of the objects -, address a variety of themes such as "Origins: the diversity of the world", "The beauty of the ordinary" and "Insects and humans".
This exhibition is produced by the musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac in partnership with the musée des Confluences.
