About the concert
A four-handed creation by Raúl Barboza and Chango Spasiuk, the project Chamamé Yeroki Ñeemboe emphasises the need to testify and convey thanks to music, the history of a land shaped by age-old mixing. Chamamé, music danced and sung, born from ancestral influences between the Guaraní indigenous people and Spanish settlers and the subsequent arrival of waves of migrants from Central Europe in the 20th century, expresses the wealth and beauty of Argentina with unrivalled melancholy and intensity.

Conçu à quatre mains par les virtuoses de l’accordéon, Raúl Barboza et Chango Spasiuk, le projet Chamamé Yeroki Ñeemboe souligne la nécessité de témoigner et de transmettre grâce à la musique, l’histoire d’une terre pétrie de métissages séculaires. La chamamè, musique chantée et dansée née d’influences ancestrales entre Indiens guarani et colons espagnols, puis confrontée aux vagues d’immigration d’Europe centrale au XXe siècle, exprime avec une mélancolie et intensité sans pareille, la richesse et beauté du territoire argentin.
