Deputy Managing Director

Jérôme Bastianelli was appointed deputy CEO of the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac as of July 13, 2015.

A former student of the Ecole Polytechnique, and Chief Engineer of the Corps of Bridges, Waters and Forests, Jérôme Bastianelli worked at the Ministry of Transport from 1996 to 2006 as Head of the Technical Department of the French Government’s Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses (BEA) for civil aviation safety.

From 2006 to 2009, he was the rapporteur for the 7th Court of Auditors and directed notably the external audit of the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO).

Since August 2009, Jérôme Bastianelli has held the position of Deputy CEO of the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac.Jérôme Bastianelli is also the author of eight works on classical music. His most recent book, Proust et Ruskin, was published by Editions Robert Laffont.
